Kelly Dean is Manager at Beech House Care Home.
I began my career in care in 2002 and have over 20+ years’ experience in health and social care, with more than 18 years dedicated to leading dementia care at Beech House. Dementia care is not just my profession; it is my passion. My approach is rooted in the belief of “Person first, dementia second”, ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, while receiving care that is meaningful, personalised, and as independent as possible.
At Beech House, I am committed to creating a calm, safe, and homely environment where people living with dementia feel secure, valued, and understood. I work closely with families and health and social care professionals to ensure care is consistent, responsive, and tailored to each person’s needs, preferences, and life history.
Beech House is a welcoming care home in the peaceful Shaw suburb of Oldham. Our purpose-built home provides specialist dementia, residential and nursing care, as well as support for palliative, convalescence and respite needs.
Guided by Christian values and respect for cultural diversity, our care plans are tailored to each individual. We focus on enhancing quality of life, supporting independence, dignity and well-being. Care at Beech House celebrates each resident’s unique gifts and lifestyle, marking a new chapter in life rather than an end.
