Karen Suleiman is Care Home Manager at Bede House.

Karen prides herself on supporting residents to have the best quality of life through social interaction and engaging with the community. She ensures high standards of care are delivered for all in a relaxed environment. Making a difference in residents and families' lives is always at the forefront of everything Karen and her team do at Bede House. She prides herself on the high standards of care delivered to those who require that extra support. Ensuring the care they deliver is person-centred and unique to each resident. 

Bede House is welcoming, friendly, and, most importantly, has a home-from-home feel.

Bede House is ideally situated for all local services and amenities. This will help to ensure our residents feel part of the local community.

As a Platinum facility, the home is developed to a luxurious standard. Comprising 66 bedrooms, Bede House is built over 2 floors and is situated within its own beautifully presented landscaped gardens which provides for various seating and activity areas including greenhouse, bird feeding stations and water feature.

Categories of care within the home will encompass general residential and nursing care to the ground floor which has separate smaller units to promote maximum choice and independence.

Bede House is decorated and furnished to provide modern and luxurious facilities for all residents and visitors within a spacious and welcoming environment. Wide corridors and doorways aid full wheelchair access throughout the home, with 2 passenger lifts available for access between floors. 

Each floor provides open and spacious communal areas, multi-activity rooms and games rooms, dining rooms and lounges, together with family rooms for quiet and personal moments. The home also has a cinema room, hair salon, and café which has direct access to an open outdoor terrace.

Each of our spacious bedrooms have mobility aids and bespoke lighting for ease of movement throughout the day and night, together with their own en-suite facilities. They are also equipped with specialised beds, high quality bespoke fitted furniture, LCD televisions, and free and unlimited internet access. We also enable our residents the opportunity to personalise their own bedrooms with favourite photos, ornaments and keep sakes as we want them to feel that Bede House is their home.
