We are confident that our care homes are now some of the very safest places to live and work.

All of our staff have been trained in additional and heightened cleansing protocols and hygiene regimes, and these are being supported by a leading sanitisation system as part of our comprehensive infection controls. Testing regimes will continue for staff, residents and visitors.

We have re-aligned the resident in-house services to meet social distance guidance from the Government, for areas such as lounges and dining rooms, and for visiting entertainers and hair dressers; we are working hard to restore these services within the ‘new normal’ circumstances as soon as we can, when lockdown rules allow.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Avery Park’s spectacular Residential Building comprises three floors. The lower ground floor is where you’ll find the cinema room, laundry room, and private dining rooms and also provides access to the stunning external courtyard. You will also find the welcoming reception desk with friendly staff on-hand to help the moment you step through the doors.

When our residents need a bit of quiet time, our stunning communal lounges, which can be found on every floor, are the ideal spot for some relaxation and comfort. And why not pick up a good book with freshly brewed coffee from the all-day café, which can also be found on the ground floor? The state-of-the-art cinema room is a perfect spot for an evening of escapism or a rainy afternoon. One things for sure, you’ll never be bored.

Local tourist attractions include Wicksteed Park, Manor House Museum, Montagu Monuments, and West Lodge Rural Centre, located in Desborough, a 15-minute drive from our home. The Odeon cinema is also ideally situated in Kettering’s town centre with surrounding shops and restaurants. At Avery Park Care Home, we want to ensure our residents receive the best out of their retirement with exciting activities and opportunities to exert their independence and enjoy the outdoors.
