Our home benefits from advanced cleaning technology, including fogging machines that cleanse the air and soft furnishings as well as surfaces — helping to provide a safer, healthier environment. Rigorous cleaning routines are carried out daily, with weekly and monthly audits to ensure our standards remain consistently high.

Every member of our team is fully trained in infection control procedures, so you can feel confident that your loved one is cared for in a clean, well-maintained, and protected setting.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Driftwood House has been thoughtfully designed and newly decorated to be welcoming, comfortable, and accessible, with a perfect balance of traditional charm and a fresh, modern feel thanks to its recent redecoration.

Our bright and homely lounge is the heart of daily life — a place where residents can come together to watch a favourite programme, enjoy activities, or simply spend time in good company. The dining room is a warm, social space where meals are shared and laughter is never far away, creating a true family atmosphere.

The home is set over two floors, with easy access to the upper level via a lift, making it suitable for residents with a wide range of mobility needs. Bathrooms have been designed with both safety and comfort in mind, ensuring they are convenient for everyone.

Outside, residents can enjoy our enclosed patio and — a lovely spot to sit with a cup of tea and soak up the sunshine and sea air. It’s a peaceful retreat and a favourite place for residents and visiting families alike during the warmer months.

To make everyday life easier, we also arrange regular visits from trusted professionals such as a hairdresser, chiropodist, optician, and dentist, so residents can receive essential services without having to leave the home.

All of our rooms are thoughtfully designed with comfort, privacy, and independence in mind. Every room features a comfortable bed, and wardrobe space for personal belongings and some rooms have en-suite restrooms available. 

Residents are encouraged to make their space their own with cherished photographs, ornaments, or other personal touches. A television can be provided on request, or residents are welcome to bring their own.

Each bedroom also includes a specialist chair, offering residents a cosy spot to relax, enjoy a quiet moment, or simply unwind in the privacy of their own space.

Larger rooms are also available at an additional cost for those who prefer a little extra room to move around.

Life at Driftwood House is full of fun, variety, and opportunities to make every day special. Our dedicated activity coordinator plans a wide range of events and experiences designed to keep residents engaged, entertained, and connected with the world around them.

We love to celebrate together, and our themed parties are always a highlight. From a whimsical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to a colourful Chinese Night or even a cosy Pyjama Party, there’s always something to look forward to — and families and loved ones are warmly invited to join in the fun.

We also make the most of our seaside location with gentle strolls along Hunstanton Pier, where the sea views and fresh air never fail to lift spirits.

For those who prefer to stay closer to home, there are plenty of activities to enjoy within Driftwood House itself. From pampering sessions and arts and crafts to musical afternoons and visiting entertainers, we make sure there’s always something to brighten the day and suit every interest.
