Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

At Hazel End we have a highly trained, caring and compassionate care team led by a dedicated home manager.

We support residents living with dementia so that they can live life to the fullest. Our care homes provide them with a safe environment for our residents which, in turn, gives peace of mind to their friends, families and loved ones. Since it is vital that both mind and body remain active, daily activities are at the heart of our dementia care.

When staff are on hand to help with everyday tasks, worries about dealing with personal care, reduced mobility, general frailty and isolation are all reduced.

We understand that the more we know about you, the better we can care for you. To help our caring and friendly staff with this, we use technology throughout our care homes. Our computerised care planning system allows us to develop a personalised care plan for every resident that includes their hobbies and interests as well as medical needs. In this way, we can help meet the needs of everyone.

To maintain and deliver this quality of service, we constantly challenge all of our team leaders to inspire our staff and provide them with the training, respect and support they deserve.

Statement from the Operations Director:

“I am incredibly proud to be appointed as Operations Director for Halcyon Care Homes; joining the company in June 2020, with absolute passion and excitement to lead the teams in delivering the highest standards of quality care.”

Activities Are So Important

Well-being means experiencing an overall feeling of happiness and satisfaction with life. It is achieved by being able to do all the things that please you.

At Hazel End Care Home we aim to enhance well-being by discussing and arranging a personal activity plan with every resident that will help them to stay physically active and mentally stimulated. We also encourage every resident to stay connected with their loved ones and their social activities outside the home, as well as to make new friends within it.

We have a packed activities calendar that is sure to suit all tastes and abilities. It's important to us that our residents maintain their health as well as their sense of fun. Trips, outings and activities are arranged regularly at Hazel End Care Home. We enjoy keeping our residents busy, so there's always something interesting going on such as theatre trips, shopping excursions and day trips to interesting places.
