Marie Powell is Manager at Cambrian Lodge.
Marie has worked in the Health and Social care sector for over 30 years and has supported individuals with a broad range of needs including elderly care and adults with learning disabilities. She has been a home manager for 11 years and has managed care homes that specifically support those living with Dementia. Marie has several qualifications, including a level 5 diploma in leadership and management.
Outside of work, Marie is a very family-oriented person and enjoys baking celebration cakes. She also is a keen traveller and an avid book reader.
Cambrian Lodge is a residential home located in the heart of Portishead in the county of North Somerset. The elegant Victorian building was originally built for the Wills tobacco family and is just a stone’s throw away from Portishead seafront.
There is a highly qualified and passionate team providing care 24-hours a day assisting with all everyday tasks required. Each individual has a person-centred and individualised care plan allowing flexibility and choice.
Cambrian Lodge is able to accommodate those requiring residential care and care for those who are living with dementia. Offering both permanent placements and shorter respite breaks it enables the flexibility suited to you. Shorter respite breaks are ideal for when families go away on holiday or you may just need some TLC. This is also a great way of sampling life at Cambrian Lodge as the decision to move into a care home can quite often feel quite daunting, so this allows a non-rushed approached to making such a big decision.
