Meet The Manager
Lindsey Thawley is The Registered Manager at Byron Lodge Care Home.
Lindsey was only 14 years old when she completed work experience placement in a care home and loved it! Leaving school at 16 she then started her career as a carer in a care home. As her career progressed she became Activities Co-ordinator then became a Senior Carer and Deputy Manager before becoming a Care Home Manager.
Lindsey loves working in the care sector and has undertaken training to develop herself in her roles. She has recently completed her NVQ Level 7 in Strategic Business Management and is about to embark on her NVQ Level 8, also in Management.
Lindsey loves everything about her job but particularly loves to see staff and residents growing together. She loves a challenge and is looking forward to her new role at Byron Lodge.
Byron Lodge Nursing Home is part of the We Care Group that operates other successful Care & Nursing Homes. The Home is registered and inspected by Care Quality Commission to provide Residential and Dementia care for both males and females as follows: Dementia – over 60 years of ages (DE(E)) – 61 places. Diagnostic and screening procedures. Treatment of disease, disorder or injury. The maximum number of Service Users allowed at any one time is 61.
