Rebecca Bolt is Home Manager at Birchmere House Care Home.
"After experiencing nursing care in various support roles, I decided to commence a career as a qualified nurse. I completed my BSc in Adult Nursing in 2014. Since then, I have worked in a variety of nursing roles before focusing on elderly care. I have worked in several different care homes, gaining much experience along the way.
I am a very friendly and enthusiastic manager who always wants to do the best by all our residents, their families, and our dedicated staff. I am a very hands-on manager and like to closely monitor standards of care and receive feedback from our residents and families. I have an open-door policy, and families can meet with me anytime."
Here at Birchmere House, we offer top-quality nursing, residential and respite care in Solihull. The home is set on border of the Copt Heath Golf Club in the West Midlands and is within easy reach of the M42. At Birchmere House, we warmly welcome couples or companions to continue their care journey together in our care home.
Since Birchmere House was added to Avery Healthcare’s portfolio, it has undergone significant changes to align with the high standards for which Avery is known.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. The ground-floor bistro is a focal point of Birchmere House Care Home. Here, residents can share a cup of coffee, have a natter and meet their visitors. There are lounges where activities take place – word games are a favourite, and there is often quite a bit of brain exercise around the giant Scrabble board. The strains of the grand piano can often be heard, either played by a resident or a visiting entertainer. The surrounding gardens offer spots to enjoy the summer sun, relax with a book or a cup of tea, or just watch the world go by. |
