Our Building and Facilities

Our residential care home has everything you'd expect, with stylish lounge and dining areas to quiet rooms. Another place to relax is the stunning landscaped garden with a wooden summer house and raised flowers beds. Our budding gardening enthusiasts nurture their own plants and flowers from seed, injecting beautiful colour in time for summer celebrations that take place there.

For our residents who prefer to be pampered, the hairdressing salon is the place to be. A local Redditch stylist comes in every week to make our residents feel really special. From trims, sets and blow-dries, it’s all available without stepping one foot outside the care home.

Activities Are So Important

We think what makes us truly unique are the person-centred activities. From flower arranging, cake decorating and animal therapy, to light exercise and arts and crafts, there is always so much to do - day in, day out.

It’s so important for our residents to have fulfilling and stimulating activities to enjoy. And that’s why we tailor these to the likes and dislikes of every single resident. We consider their individual care needs, whether they are receiving dementia care or residential care, as well as their fascinating life stories. Every day is different. Sometimes you can see us taking part in one-to-one activities, reminiscing about the good-old-days. The next we are cooking up a storm with our avid bakers. It's magical moments like these that enrich the lives of our residents.

We are also very proud active members of our local community. Not only do we throw open the care home doors to host regular community events throughout the year; we also enjoy special visits each month. Youngsters from nurseries, a ballet school and primary schools pull out all the stops to sing, dance and perform just for us.

As you can imagine, the intergenerational activities are extremely popular. They also bring back cherished memories, particularly for our residents living with dementia, of time spent with their own children or grandchildren.

And outside the home, we take the residents out and about across Worcestershire. This can include steam train rides on the Severn Valley Railway in Kidderminster, gardening trips to Webb’s garden centre in Wychbold, pub lunches and more.
