Inderpreet Hanzra is Home Manager at Lakeview Care Home.
I’m the General Manager at Lakeview Care Home and have 10 years’ experience in the care industry. My passion for care and drive to enhance the wellbeing of residents, meant a huge change of career from being a Pharmacist. Every day, I look forward to meeting residents and making a difference to their lives. Our passion at Lakeview is to deliver relationship-centred care that is second to none. So, I welcome you to be part of the amazing care experience we share at Lakeview.
Lakeview is one of the best-regarded care homes in Surrey and we are extremely proud to have been awarded the ‘Most Innovative Activity Programme’ at the Surrey Business Awards. The 58-bedroom home is conveniently located just a 3-minute drive from Junction 3 of the M3, putting it in easy reach of surrounding towns like Woking, Farnborough and Bracknell. Lakeview provides beautifully designed facilities as well as the highest standard of residential, dementia and respite care.
Residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Our care is relationship-centred, recognising the uniqueness of each individual and their needs. Residents at Lakeview are encouraged to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved – the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy. So as part of our community, they’ll be able to cook, help out in the garden and carry on with the kind of everyday routines which make their lives theirs. We are proud to be counted amongst the most trustworthy and well-regarded care homes in Surrey.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
The health, safety and well-being of residents, visitors and team members is paramount, and we can assure you that your priorities regarding safety, care, cleanliness, and enjoyment are ours too. We take this responsibility very seriously and as such, we have implemented robust infection control measures in line with Government and Public Health England and Public Health Wales advice to ensure the safety of everyone who lives and works within our homes. These measures include: Wearing PPE, Regular testing and temperature checking, Social distancing, Enhanced cleaning, COVID-19 training We are pleased to report that NHS healthcare professionals are now vaccinating residents and team members at all of our homes. We are keeping residents and relatives updated with our progress. The Covid-19 vaccination rollout programme is being driven by the local health boards in Wales and by GPs in England. Timings vary from area to area, dependent on when NHS healthcare professionals receive a supply of vaccines and how many doses they receive in each delivery. However, we are in regular contact with the health boards and our local GP surgeries for updates and are working closely with them to ensure everyone has the opportunity to be vaccinated safely and as soon as possible. With two doses of the vaccine being needed for immunisation to be fully effective, we do not expect to make changes to the measures in place at our homes until after the second dose has been delivered. |

Our Building and Facilities |
---|
Lakeview Care Home, counted amongst the most advanced care homes in Surrey, features a dementia environment designed specifically to enhance the quality of life of residents, offering stability, reassurance and familiarity. At the heart of our dementia community is our beautiful, light and spacious orangery, which provides a wonderful space for residents to enjoy our many activities and events. This orangery leads onto a secure roof terrace with raised planters, bird feeders and bird boxes. We have recently relaunched our dementia garden, making it a haven for residents with new plant life to encourage interesting birds to visit. We have installed a greenhouse to make the garden more accessible and a range of comfy seats to enable residents to sit and enjoy the outside space. Residents can also relax and enjoy a film in our state-of-the-art cinema, enjoy fresh coffee and home-made cakes in our vibrant café or participate in a spot of gardening in our wonderful garden with raised planters. Residents were delighted to win the ‘overall champion’ award in our internal ‘Hallmark in Bloom’ competition last summer, for their creativity and input into our beautiful garden. Activities Are So Important |
---|
It is incredibly important to us that residents continue to enjoy their favourite activities and hobbies. We also think that it is important that they have the opportunity to try new activities should they wish to. The variety of clubs, lifestyle choices and activities that we have available are tailored to what residents enjoy, as well as their individual needs. They can choose to join in with as many or as few as they like, though common favourites among the residents are regularly available through our lifestyle team and are always enhanced with new experiences where possible. This means that there are always things to do between visits from friends and family and no time to get bored. Some of the activities we offer range from outings to local places of interest to offer something memorable and different, to gentle exercise classes, arts and crafts, and cooking, all of which take place in the comfort of the care home community. |
