Meet The Manager

Debbie Pugh is Manager at Bescot Lodge Care Home.

I have been involved in care homes all my life, including living in, as my parents owned a home from when I was 6 months old until the age of 12. Having started a career as a carer in a Lenord Cheshire home at the age of 17, progressing to nurse training at the age of 19, with a passion for palliative care, I found myself back in the care home environment from the age of 28.

I like to make a difference to people’s lives, with compassion, dignity, empathy and respect. I expect the same from the team I work with. I have been a registered manager since 2014 and was a deputy for over 10 years prior to this.
