Mohammad was promoted from deputy to Home Manager at Ashton Lodge in March 2026. A valued member of the team at Castle House since 2009 this well-deserved promotion is a reflection of the exceptional skills, dedication and compassion that Mohammad has demonstrated in his roles as Clinical Lead and Deputy Manager.
A qualified nurse, throughout his career withing the group, Mohammad has set to raise the bar in clinical excellence. He has been instrumental in achieving the Gold Standard Framework Award in two of the homes within the group. His hands on approach to nursing, along with his knowledge and passion for care, has delivered many plaudits and national awards throughout his career.
Highly regarded by his peers, Mohammad has earned this respect for his high-quality nursing skills and approach to providing authentic, compassionate care and the relationships he evolves with residents and their families.

Our welcoming environment allows residents to feel at home while offering plenty of choice in how they spend their day. Spacious accommodation is set over two floors with the first floor dedicated to specialist dementia care. A range of communal areas throughout the home encourage independence and social interaction, while also providing quieter spaces for relaxation. Residents can enjoy a variety of settings throughout the home, from comfortable lounges to activity areas; our secure garden and terrace area is a hive of activity in the summer with games and alfresco dining. Daily life is centred around maintaining familiar interests while encouraging new experiences. Gardening, cooking, creative activities and social events all contribute to a stimulating and enjoyable environment. Visits from friends and family are all the more enjoyable in the dedicated café area, with tables set just outside on the terrace in summer to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon tea together. The gardens at Ashton are secure are enjoyed by residents and their families. Plentiful sun shaded tables and chairs are available for a chat, reading the paper, games or other social activities. Several of the bedrooms have access to private terraces, whilst some give access to their own courtyard. Technology also enhances life at Ashton Lodge, with music, games and sensory experiences providing opportunities for engagement and relaxation. We always keep things stimulating, our purpose-built cinema is one of the much-loved facilities that helps create a home where residents feel comfortable, supported and inspired. Ashton Lodge comprises 100 rooms on two floors. Ground floor rooms focus on nursing care and respite, whilst the first floor accommodation is dedicated to specialist dementia care. Some ground-floor rooms benefit from access to a private terrace, leading into the secure garden, whilst others open out into a private enclosed patio area. Our residents enjoy a spacious, welcoming, comfortable bedroom, set up to minimise concerns for safety and reducing anxiety. A home from home setting, where residents own furniture can bespoke rooms to create a known environment. Each bedroom is equipped with a specialist profiling bed to support a restful night’s sleep while assisting with mobility and individual medical needs. While not all rooms are en-suite, this reflects our focus on safety and wellbeing. High-quality assisted bathing and shower facilities are available throughout the home, ensuring residents receive comfortable and dignified support with daily routines. Nurse call systems are installed in all bedrooms and communal areas, ensuring help is always available whenever it is needed, day or night. |

Our dedicated activities coordinator works closely with residents and families to create meaningful opportunities for social connection and enjoyment. Residents are encouraged to remain independent and continue hobbies they enjoy, whether taking part in group activities or spending time with family and friends. Our secure garden is a popular place to quietly relax with the paper or enjoy the company of others, particularly in summer when residents and families enjoy coffee, drinks and outdoor lunches together. Games and entertainment are a regular part of the outdoor social plan, as is a spot of gardening or bird watching – it is surprising how many varieties we attract. We also enjoy regular trips into the community, including visits to the seaside, museums, parks, shops and even the races. Within the home, residents enjoy cinema evenings in our purpose-built cinema room, musical performances and seasonal celebrations. From visiting entertainers to festive events, there is always something to look forward to. |
