Meet The Manager

Vicky Parsons is The Registered Manager at Ashbrook Court Care Home.

Vicky joined our Carebase family in 2017 having retrained in Health and Social Care, after a successful career in law. Her personal experience caring for her father, who lived with dementia, sparked a deep commitment to helping others on the same journey. Since joining Ashbrook Court in 2025, Vicky’s warmth, compassion and gentle leadership have been at the heart of our friendly home. She loves getting to know residents and their families, and she supports our entire team to deliver the thoughtful care that makes life here feel special.

Her guiding motto is, “If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way,” inspired by Napoleon Hill. Vicky explains that it is often the smallest acts of kindness that mean the most, ensuring each resident feels valued, understood and supported to enjoy the best quality of life. She holds an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

At Ashbrook Court Care Home in Waltham Abbey, our team cares for your precious loved one with the same tenderness and kindness shown to our own family members.

Our award-winning home provides high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care in a happy, nurturing and vibrant environment. We are thrilled to be a part of the UK’s Top 20 Mid-sized Care Group 2026, as rated by carehome.co.uk, and have been recognised by both the Essex Care Sector Awards and the Great British Care Awards for our care team.

Families and friends are a vital part of our home, and together, we develop a care plan with the residents and those closest to them, which is regularly reviewed.

The friendships, activities, and social life at Ashbrook Court provide families with reassurance and peace of mind. The vibrant lifestyle calendar offers a stimulating schedule of meaningful activities that support residents’ health and well-being. These include live performances, reminiscence projects, pet therapy, sensory Namaste Care, and our Make-A-Wish initiative.

Ashbrook Court is designed to enable residents and families to spend quality time together, whether relaxing in the bistro, cinema, salon, indulging at the vintage sweet shop, or simply enjoying the tranquillity of the landscaped gardens.

Outside the home, residents have made wonderful connections with the local community, from churches to museums, and enjoy minibus outings to local places of interest such as Pymmes Park and North Weald Air Field.

Our team receives comprehensive training, professional development and support to deliver the high standards of care residents and families deserve. Families know their loved ones are being cared for by a trusted and reputable provider, with love and compassion at the forefront of all we do.
