Meet The Manager

Tracy Jones is Manager at Arden House.

Hi, my name is Tracy Jones and I am the manager of Arden House in Leamington Spa. Myself and my team strive to give the best possible care and commitment to all who live at Arden House ensuring that all residents are treated as an individual whilst maintaining their respect and dignity.

We encourage all residents to continue to chase their dreams and also take up new interests and make new friendships. It is not the end of life but a new beginning. We like to think of Arden House as a “home away from home”. We are not “staff” and “residents” but one big happy family where our ultimate goal is to create smiles and laughter.

Tracy Jones

Arden House care home in Leamington Spa is a one of the best residential care homes in the Warwick area. It delivers the best possible residential care in a respectful, loving and caring environment. This allows our residents to live a happy life and genuinely retain their independence. We are proud to be an Eden Alternative accredited home because this coveted award demonstrates how we live and breathe our values.

Visitors to the care home often remark on how much fun the residents seem to be having with the excellent activity programme or how good the home cooked food looks and how much it reflects the food mum or dad have eaten all their lives. They are often shocked to find out that the residents helped write that activity programme and the menu and indeed helped choose the colours of paint, carpets and the furniture in the newly refurbished lounges. We don’t just claim it is the residents’ home – we prove it to them every day.

With several lounges, a dedicated dining room and a very impressive accessible gardens there is plenty of space for the residents to relax with each other, enjoy some private time or spend quality time with their loved ones.

The majority of the time our home is nearly full and when we do have availability it is often for a short period of time because the home is very popular and has a very good local reputation. For that reason it is hard to give specific details about any individual rooms available, the best way to find out more information is to pop in and see the available rooms for yourself.

Description

At Greensleeves Care, we are fortunate to work with so many caring and committed dedicated managers and their excellent caring teams. Our dedicated staff are hard working, committed and focused on helping to make our residents’ lives happy and positive every day. The golden test for us is a smiling face and a resident who feels safe and relaxed.

We do not just put our residents first; they are truly our sole focus. Because we are a charity this ethos is much easier to live by, everything is about their care and well-being. It is also the thing that allows us maximise support and care for our own team. It is a fact that working for Greensleeves Care is a bit different, which is why people stay so long with us. If you want to know what those differences are please contact us.

We know that recruiting and retaining the best people is one of the most important elements of having a great care home. That is why we focus so much effort on it. We pay staff more than our competitors, we strive for a better work-life balance and we listen to what our teams say. In short, we look after the amazing people that work for us the best way we possibly can. Because we know that if we do, they will look after our residents the best way they can.

Our staff are passionate and well trained and enjoy the support and trust of their managers. Training is really important to the Greensleeves Care culture and we are justifiably proud of it. Along with formal training delivered by our training team there is also daily on-the-job support. Because of this nurturing ethos, our staff have developed the skills and understanding needed to interact positively and respectfully with our residents.

Older people only move into residential homes because they need support and help, so we must get this right. Our loving, caring and kind teams deliver the type of care that make the world feel better about getting old. Our staffing ratios are better than most other homes because we do not need to make huge profits to keep shareholders happy.
