Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time

Our home is spacious indoors and out, with magnificent grounds. Residents can enjoy having their hair done in the salon, relax in our cosy library area, or have a chat over coffee in one of our lounges or the conservatory.

CQC report described how the home had arranged for a famous rock band to play in a resident’s room, and that the resident was ‘thrilled’ when he was presented with a guitar. See start of ‘Is this service responsive?’ section of CQC report, February 2019.

Our weekly minibus outings go to places chosen by residents. We do special trips for residents such as trip to Madame Tussauds for one resident, resident who goes swimming every week - these are detailed in the recent CQC report in the ‘Is this service responsive?’ section.

Our coordinators plan a range of activities for all residents, according to their care needs and mobility, such as arts and crafts, quizzes, bingo and games, film club, gentle exercise sessions, pet therapy.
