Julie Wrighton is Care Manager at Autumn House Nursing Home.
Julie Wrighton became the registered manager of Autumn House in 2020, stepping into a challenging environment with determination and vision. Under her leadership, she successfully transformed the home from a “Requires Improvement” rating to “Good” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), a testament to her strong leadership and passion for raising standards.
With 26 years of experience as a manager in the care industry, Julie has built an excellent reputation along the way. Her extensive knowledge and hands-on approach to management have made her a trusted leader in the field. Julie is passionate about ensuring that every resident receives the highest level of care and that the home operates with compassion, dignity, and respect.
Julie’s dedication and personable nature make Autumn House a place where both residents and staff feel valued, respected, and cared for. Her leadership has truly shaped the home's nurturing atmosphere.
Autumn House Nursing Home is a well-established, family-run care home in the heart of Stone, Staffordshire. We take pride in our philosophy of care and quality, ensuring that all residents are treated with the utmost care, respect, and dignity. Our highly trained staff specialise in all aspects of elderly and dementia care, providing a safe and supportive environment tailored to individual needs.
Our modern, attractive nursing home accommodates up to 67 residents, offering both nursing care and residential care for self-funding individuals. This dual capability allows us to adapt to residents’ changing needs, ensuring they receive continuous and appropriate care as their requirements evolve.
We are committed to delivering care that is sensitive to racial, cultural, and religious needs, always maintaining an atmosphere of respect and understanding. Autumn House Nursing Home is proud to have received a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We have 29 ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor and 36 ensuite bedrooms upstairs, bath and shower rooms, communal rooms, dining rooms and activities rooms are situated throughout both floors. The laundry room, hair dressing salon are all on the ground floor. A coffee and tea area are situated in the front foyer with chairs and tables situated for your comfort. Water machines are also situated around the home so please help your yourself. |

All bedrooms at Autumn House have ensuite facilities, rooms on the nursing floor have specialized beds to assist with resident’s needs, while rooms down stairs have divan style bed unless resident’s needs change and a specialized bed can then be used. All rooms are going to be refurbished if not done so already.. Furniture can be brought in by residents from their previous home to personalize their room. |
