Anna Knight is Interim Home Manager at Windsor Court Care Home.
A former ‘Grand Gentlemen’s Residence’, Windsor Court is superbly located within easy strolling distance of Bournemouth town centre and world-famous sea front. Retaining the high-ceilinged elegance of the Victorian era, the building has been extensively and sympathetically refurbished to provide the first class accommodation and facilities associated with modern care provision of the highest level.
It is our intention to deliver not only excellent care, but to do it to the same standard that we would for our own loved ones, an approach that could be typified by a telephone system which allows residents to retain their own ‘home number’, offering a degree of independence and a small but always appreciated feeling of familiarity.

![]() Anna KnightInterim Home Manager![]() Katherine FeltonSupport managerI joined Windsor Court as a Senior Care Assistant but within the year progressed to the Support Manager. There are great opportunities for career progression and I am being encouraged to undertake my Diploma level 5. I was inspired and passionate about end of life care by my Nan who I cared for at the end of her life. It’s especially important to ensure the emotional side of this journey is very special for everyone concerned and involved and to ensure people receive the best possible care and the upmost dignity when they pass. I really enjoy working at Windsor Court, I work with a great team where everyone helps each other, there is very good communication and we are just like one big family. The training provided is very good and I receive great support from my Management team. ![]() Tomasz MalecSenior Care AssistantAs a senior carer Tomasz’s has many responsibilities from keeping residents safe, ensuring they receive person centred care and their health and welfare needs are met. But his personal goal each day is to make a difference to the resident’s lives, the values of Beritaz Care, “Caring, Trusting, Choices” are important to him and he ensures these values are promoted within the home and amongst the staff team. He is really keen to ensure family members feel involved and know that their relatives are receiving the best of care possible. He works hard and is always determined to be the best that he can be and further develop his career at Windsor Court, and within the Beritaz Care family of homes. Tomasz enjoys working at Windsor Court and Beritaz Care because they value and support their staff, looking after their development and well-being. ![]() Caroline MartinCare AssistantCaroline has worked at Windsor Court since 2003 and has seen many changes inside the home. She has both her NVQ Levels 2 & 3. Caroline enjoys the ongoing training that is provided in the home and the opportunities to undertake distance learning courses. Caroline would like to learn new skills and carry on working as part of a dedicated team at Windsor Court and says that she would recommend Windsor Court to anyone who wants to work in Health Care. When not at work she loves spending time with her family. ![]() Sylwia DudekCare AssistantI’ve been working at Windsor Court Care Home since 2013 and continue to enjoy every minute of my time here. I love what I do, caring for people, we do this at Windsor Court with passion, dignity and kindness. I originate from Poland and came to England with my husband and my young family in 2010. Whilst I was an experienced carer I had a lot to learn especially grasping and understanding the English language. I have been supported to develop my understanding of English and my knowledge in care, achieving a Diploma 2 in Health & Social Care/working with the elderly. The management team are very supportive changing my working arrangements from days to nights when a medical condition I live with didn’t suit me working days. I am very proud and happy to be part of a team of people who really care for the residents and colleagues ![]() Marilyn EvangelouCare AssistantI have been working at Windsor Court Care Home since November 2018. Prior to this I was a live in carer, whilst I enjoyed the work it was lonely and isolating at times. I was looking for a life after work and Bournemouth was just the ticket! The residents are great, I learn something new from or about them every day, and you never get bored. I really like working as part of a team at Windsor Court it’s great at all levels of responsibility, everyone is supportive of one another and we encourage each other to always be at our best, which has added benefits for the residents. You are always encouraged to increase your knowledge; I have completed my Diploma level 2 and working towards level 3 in Elderly Care. I am now being given opportunities to learn more about the role of a Senior Carer ![]() Debbie PayneActivities Co-ordinatorHi, I have been part of the activities team working at Windsor Court since November 2018. Previously I worked at another care home managed by Beritaz care for 2 years. Applying for an activities organisers role was a whole new career for me, using skills from my previous life knowledge and experience. I feel privileged to provide a variety of activities to support resident’s individual interests and hobbies, no two days are the same and the greatest gift is seeing the residents happy, I am truly able to say I have the best job! I am part of a team and organisation that really cares about one another, the support and training you receive is very good. If you feel you are ready for a change in career you couldn’t choose a more supportive organisation than the Beritaz Care Group to work for. ![]() Sandra HarveyAdministratorI have been working as Windsor Courts Administrator since 2008, previous to this I worked in sales, charity fundraising and as an office supervisor. All these positions gave me the skills I needed to work front of house at Windsor Court. Since working here I have been supported to increase my skills and knowledge and have an undertaken a QCF in Business Administration and Customer Service. I enjoy the variety my role brings and no two days are the same. The residents, the staff team and relatives are what make it enjoyable, the camaraderie and the support of one another makes for a really good place to work. If you are interested in working in a friendly, family orientated environment why not come and join us. ![]() Draupadi SunarDomestic & Laundry AttendantI started working in Windsor Court in August 2011, I hadn’t worked in a care home prior to starting at Windsor Court but I really enjoy working here, it’s a friendly home which is well managed and provides a peaceful environment for the residents. I also appreciate the training I have received which has helped me to understand the culture, ethos and laws of caring for and keeping residents safe We receive excellent support from the manager and the owner, they look after the residents and staff have done so especially throughout the pandemic, always working hard to do the very best for the residents. ![]() Georgiana PascalSenior Care AssistantI work as a senior health care assistant on nights, I am a friendly person and like to be around people so I thought I should try working in care, and I love it! I have been working in care ever since and I’m always looking forward to learn more. I love working at Windsor Court for all the opportunities it has given me, I started working as a care assistant and with the support of the manager I completed a NVQ level 3 in care and now have the position of senior carer. But importantly I enjoy working here because it’s just like one big family and a very friendly place to work. The manager and the owner are very supportive and look after you, for instance we receive free meals, paid breaks and flexible working ![]() Ellie-Mae CollonyHealth Care AssistantHi I am Ellie-Mae and I have been working at Windsor Court since I left Bournemouth and Poole College in 2016. I studied Health & Social Care and have a strong interest in care. I tried out different areas of social care placements during my time at college but it was working with the elderly I enjoyed the most. I really enjoy the role of a carer but also enjoy the flexibility of carrying out other roles when there is a need, such as stepping in to help the chef in the kitchen as a kitchen assistant. At the end of the day it’s all about the residents and working together to make sure their needs are being met. The management team and my colleagues are very supportive of one another; Windsor Court is a really good place to work. Ellie-Mae Collony |
