Simon Dixey is Manager at The Manor House Nursing Home.
"Hello, I’m Simon, a qualified nurse with over two decades of experience across health and social care, including learning disabilities, mental health, and dementia care.
As a dedicated Home Manager, I’m passionate about leading teams, driving service improvements, and ensuring every individual receives care that is person-centred, safe, and delivered with compassion.
Outside of work, I’m a proud father to four daughters and share my home with three energetic pugs—Boe, Bear and Betty—who certainly keep life interesting. You’ll often find me with my family cheering on Stafford Rangers, travelling home and away to support the team. I’d like to think I have an approachable nature, a good sense of humour, and a strong commitment to making a difference in the lives of others."
The Manor House Nursing Home in Stafford provides 24-hour care by a team of qualified nurses and care professionals, all on hand to deliver a personal care plan to every single resident. We provide general nursing care, specialist dementia care, and care for adults living with complex physical and mental health conditions, offering gender specific units.
We focus on the details and how everything we offer, from the sensory gardens to our nutrition champions, activities programme, and in-home hair salon, can be used. Everybody has their own set of needs, which is why we deliver a totally person-centred, user-led service to ensure the happiness and dignity of each individual is always the priority.

Infection Control Protocols: Regular sanitisation of common areas, rooms, and surfaces. Ensuring staff use personal protective equipment (PPE) like masks, gloves, and gowns, especially in high-risk areas. Isolation or quarantine protocols for residents who show signs of illness. Staff Training: Ongoing education on infection prevention, resident care, and safety protocols. Ensuring staff are trained in emergency procedures, such as fire drills or evacuation plans. Emergency Preparedness: Ensuring that the home is prepared for any public health emergencies, like flu outbreaks, pandemics, or natural disasters. | Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
