Laura Mosedale is Home Manager at The Brunswick.

The Brunswick care home is an impressive home located on historic Lord Street in Southport. This much loved landmark, some would say one of the iconic buildings of Southport, is part of the Dovehaven family of care homes and has 55 bedrooms, across 4 floors. The vast majority of the rooms are en-suite and all are furnished to a very high standard.

Our residents have access to all of the residential care and hotel services that they might wish. 

The menu in the dining room offers a full choice of classic dishes.

We have two relaxing and luxurious lounges together with a well-appointed dining room with stunning views of Lord Street. 

We ensure all residents have easy access to amenities, such as the onsite hairdressing salon together with a visiting chiropodist.

Our residents and family members are kept safe as we adhere to the current government guidelines for care homes. 


On July 19th the wider restrictions were listed, however, although there are now no longer any restrictions on the number of visitors, those visiting our homes have to take a lateral flow test and also wear PPE.

This home, originally The Brunswick Hotel, has been expertly refurbished and residents are able to spend their days in their beautifully appointed bedrooms or lounge areas, which enjoy views over historic Lord Street and towards the coast.

Description

Our qualified and experienced care staff are on hand 24 hours a day to provide a high standard of care and they are a highly trained and dedicated team who specialise in care of older people.

Our catering team are on hand every day to ensure that the nutritional requirements of all our residents are met, with all special diets catered for. Our chefs come and meet all our residents to discuss meal choices, likes and dislikes.

We also have an enthusiastic domestic team who will ensure that the home is kept clean and tidy and is always in pristine condition. Our onsite laundry service will ensure that clothes are cleaned and returned swiftly. Our philosophy of care states that attention to detail and flexibility are the differences and all our staff are willing and able to go the extra mile.

The Importance Of Meal Times

Our chefs prepare and serve a beautiful daily menu. 

The dining service is very important at The Brunswick and our comfortable dining room is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

A menu with choices at each meal is available, as well as a menu of lighter snack to enjoy. Refreshments are available throught out the day and night. 

Our Chef is on hand every day to ensure that the nutritional requirements of all our residents are met, with all special diets catered for. Our chefs come and meet all our residents to discuss both meal choices and food preferences. 

Morning coffee and afternoon tea is served daily.

Our residents enjoy being able to carry on with life long hobbies and pastimes. There is nothing to stop the leisure pursuits of our residents continuing, once moving to The Brunswick.
