Meet The Manager

Victoria Harrison is Manager at Terrington Lodge.

Victoria’s journey with Terrington Lodge began in 2005, when she joined the team as a care assistant. Her dedication, compassion, and commitment to high-quality care quickly shone through, and in 2014 — when ArmsCare took over the home — she was promoted to Senior Carer.

Keen to further her skills and knowledge, Victoria achieved her Level 5 in Health and Social Care Leadership and Management, and in 2018 she became our Deputy Manager. Her wealth of experience and deep understanding of the home made her the perfect choice to take on the role of Manager in June 2023, officially completing her registration in 2024.

Today, Victoria leads Terrington Lodge with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine passion for making a difference. Alongside her dedicated team, she provides exceptional care and support for up to 25 residents, ensuring our home is a safe, happy, and welcoming place for everyone.

At Terrington Lodge, we believe a care home should feel just like home — warm, welcoming, and full of life. Nestled in the heart of the pretty rural village of Terrington St. Clement, our home offers comfort, companionship, and compassionate care in a peaceful countryside setting.

Here, residents enjoy the best of both worlds: the charm and tranquillity of village life, with easy access to nearby towns, attractions, and Norfolk’s stunning landscapes. Whether it’s a trip to the local farm shop, a gentle stroll in the gardens, or a day out exploring hidden gems, there’s always something to enjoy.

Life at Terrington Lodge is vibrant and varied. From pamper days and musical afternoons to visits from hairdressers, chiropodists, and other professionals, we make sure every resident feels cared for, valued, and part of our family. We also have the full support of the district nursing team, ensuring expert medical care is available whenever needed.

Our specialisms include dementia care and supporting residents with complex needs. However, we know every individual is unique, which is why we encourage families to get in touch to discuss their loved one’s requirements. In most cases, we are able to support a wide range of needs. Before moving in, we carry out a detailed assessment to understand each resident’s personal preferences, health requirements, and routines, so we can be sure we can meet them with the highest standard of care.

Whether you’re looking for day care, respite breaks, holiday stays, or long-term living, we provide a safe, supportive, and happy environment where every day is a day to enjoy.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

The safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff is always our highest priority. We follow the latest government guidelines to ensure the highest standards of infection prevention and control at all times.

Our home benefits from advanced cleaning technology, including fogging machines that cleanse the air and soft furnishings as well as surfaces — helping to provide a safer, healthier environment. Rigorous cleaning routines are carried out daily, with weekly and monthly audits to ensure our standards remain consistently high.

Every member of our team is fully trained in infection control procedures, so you can feel confident that your loved one is cared for in a clean, well-maintained, and protected setting.

Safe Visiting Space
safe-tick We have a safe visiting space

We know how important it is for residents to spend quality time with family and friends. At Terrington Lodge, we make visiting as easy and comfortable as possible. Guests are welcome to join their loved ones in our cosy lounges, enjoy a cup of tea together in the dining room, or spend time privately in the resident’s own bedroom.

When the weather is kind, our beautiful garden provides the perfect setting for outdoor visits — whether it’s a quiet chat in the sunshine or a stroll among the flowers. Wherever you choose to meet, you can be sure of a warm, welcome and a relaxed, homely atmosphere.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Our Building and Facilities

Terrington Lodge has been thoughtfully designed to be comfortable, accessible, and welcoming for everyone who lives here. We have two bright, newly decorated lounges to suit every mood — our lively air-conditioned TV lounge, where residents gather to enjoy a good film or watch their favourite shows together, and our peaceful quiet lounge, perfect for reading, relaxing, or simply enjoying a moment of calm.

The dining room is at the heart of our home — a warm, social space where residents share meals, laughter, and conversation.

Our home is set over two floors, with easy access to the second floor via a lift or stair chair, ensuring it’s suitable for residents with limited mobility. The bathrooms have been newly renovated with a fresh, modern feel, designed to be safe and convenient for everyone — whether they have full or limited mobility.

Outside, our beautiful enclosed garden is a favourite spot in the warmer months. Whether it’s soaking up the sunshine, tending to flowers, or simply enjoying the fresh air, it’s a peaceful place to relax and spend time with friends and family.

To make life even more comfortable, we also arrange regular visits from trusted professionals including a hairdresser, chiropodist, optician, and dentist — so residents can receive essential services without having to leave the home.
