Meet The Manager

Tracy Kilford is Registered Manager at St Mary's Care Centre.

  • Tracy commenced at St Marys Care Centre in 2009 as a Registered Nurse. She was promoted to Deputy Matron in 2014. After a short break from June 2019 until October 2020 Tracy returned to St Marys Care Centre as Manager. Tracy has 35 years experience as a Nurse and 26 of those years have been working in care homes.  She is passionate about providing holistic care, especially for residents at the end of their life. Tracy likes to ensure that residents are living the best life possible. Person centred care is very important and each resident is treated with dignity and respect.

The Care Team at St Mary’s Care Centre supports residents to live an active and fulfilled life. Our person-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved – and often the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy.

As part of our Anlaby-based community, our residents can help themselves to drinks and snacks, help out in the garden and other hobbies and exercise their usual routines which enable residents to make their lives theirs.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe
  • Following local, government and company guidance. Staff have twice weekly lateral flow testing and weekly PCR testing.   28 day PCR testing for residents. Staff wear full PPE. Social Distancing for staff and residents  as far as possible. We have a safe visiting room with a full length perspex screen. We also provide a designated visiting room for nominated visitors. Lateral flow tests and full PPE are provided on each visit.

 All of our rooms are single with ensuite facilities. Our beds are profiling beds and specialist mattresses can be provided. Our rooms are decorated to a high standard and have TVs in all rooms. Residents are encouraged to bring personal possessions like photographs, pictures and ornaments to make it more homely. Small items of furniture can be considered.

Garry started employment at St Marys as Chef in November 2007. He has been a Chef for 40 years. Garry was Student of the year at college and did restaurant work for 20 years. Garry was NACC award winner in 2006 and in 2007 was a judge for the competition. The residents love Garrys home baking and his jam and cream scones are the best!

Julie has worked in the care sector for 33 years, 19 of those years were with Barchester Healthcare. Whilst at Barchester, Julie gained a lot of experience from being a kitchen assistant to Cook to Head  Cook to Catering manager and then onto Hotel Services Manager. Julie joined St Marys 14 years ago as Housekeeper and she loves her job and takes great pride in it. Julie loves to see the dining room tables fully dressed so that our residents can have an enjoyable mealtime experience. Julie is a virgo so this means she has high expectations on how the home is presented. Along with high infection control measures which we adhere to, to provide a clean, friendly and homely environment for our residents and families to enjoy.

All about Care

The care team at St Mary’s Care Centre are here to make the transition into a care home as easy and as stress-free as possible. Our residents are our first priority.We encourage residents to take part in daily life at St Marys but also understand that some people like to have their own space and quiet time. 

The team consists of Manager Tracy who is assisted to lead the care home team by Deputy Manager Rachel, Clinical Lead Lyn, Housekeeper Julie and Chef Garry. We have  Nurses, Senior Carers, Care Assistants, Domestic assistants, Kitchen Assistants, Administrators, Activity Coordinators and Maintenance staff. We are also well supported by Regional Support team.
