Meet The Manager

Heather De-Ninis is The Home Manager at Queen Elizabeth Park Care Home.

Heather De-Ninis has worked in the care sector for over 36 years and in that time has amassed a wealth of care home experience.

Heather has developed a deep understanding of all the essential elements that create a loving care home environment after working in a variety of hands-on roles herself, from housekeeping and catering to maintenance, before taking her first position as a carer.

Heather says: “I love to give back and care for the elderly. I take immense pride in my home and am very proud of what my team and I have achieved in giving our residents a better quality of life.”

In creating that home-away-from-home atmosphere that is so appreciated by residents and their families, Heather, an avid baker, often brings in homemade jams and cakes for her residents and the team to enjoy. She also brings her beloved pet dog, Diva, to work every day, who all the residents adore!

Heather De-Ninis

Assisted by our detailed knowledge of each person we care for and born by an intense desire to help and strong caring values, residents are supported to live happy and fulfilled lives.

Our welcoming home organises a varied calendar of innovative activities to suit all tastes and abilities, from themed parties to choir practice, and sensory Namaste Care to art tutorials.

Underpinned by strong community links, residents enjoy frequent days out on the minibus to local places of interest, make a wish initiative, and cultivate connections with local school children, mum and toddler playgroups, charity partners and cultural institutions.

Set over three floors, our friendly, yet peaceful home is surrounded by tranquil landscaped gardens, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. It features bright and airy lounges, sunny terraces, a bustling bistro and private dining room, a tranquil library, salon and cinema.

As part of Queen Elizabeth Park’s commitment to providing high-quality care, our team receives extensive, on-going training, professional development and guidance.

We are proud to be a part of the UK’s Top 20 Mid-sized Care Group 2025, as rated by carehome.co.uk, and have received a high commendation at the South East Great British Care Awards 2025 for the Care Home Team Award. We were also Team of the Year Finalists at the Surrey Care Awards 2024 and Highly Commended in the Putting People First category at the South East Great British Care Awards 2023.

Activities Are So Important

Our residents’ ongoing health and wellbeing is extremely important to us and we recognise that keeping active, both mentally and physically, whilst maintaining a sense of purpose and meaning are key to individuals’ happiness, contentment and joy.

In partnership with our residents and those closest to them, our dedicated lifestyle team develops a varied programme of meaningful activities, events and celebrations which are personalised to individuals’ likes, dislikes, abilities and care needs as well as aspirations and dreams for the future.

Activities are scheduled to suit each resident’s specific needs or requests, meaning we have a large variety of in-home events to suit all stages or abilities. This ranges from bingo, choir, arts and crafts to knitting, baking, movies and quizzes. Visits from our favourite entertainers are also highly popular, with residents and team members alike joining in with our much-loved sing-a-longs!

Our whole team supports our residents to rekindle interests and hobbies, whilst also gently encouraging them to try new things they might enjoy, either as part of a group of friends, on a 1-2-1 basis and in their own room, if they prefer.
