Sam Collins is The Registered Manager at Poldhu.
I have worked in the health and social care sector since 2000 in a variety of settings including supporting people with learning disabilities, young adults and older people, I have worked in various settings including supported living, schools, Home care, extra care, residential care homes and nursing homes across Cornwall.
I have worked in all roles across the services including health care assistant, support worker, senior support worker, project planning and delivery and management roles.
I have a passion for quality care delivery and empathy to direct all we do to meet people’s needs to the best of our ability.
Set in a spectacular position with unrivalled views over one of Cornwall’s most stunning coastlines, The Poldhu provides high quality nursing, residential and respite care for the elderly.
The Poldhu has a warm, welcoming and relaxing environment, with a vibrant community of residents, relatives, staff and friends. Set in 10 acres of grounds overlooking Poldhu Cove on the Lizard in Cornwall, the home has spacious lounges, a beautiful dining room and comfortably decorated bedrooms, with sea views.

The Poldhu’s Head Chef has worked at the home for over 25 years and has a wealth of experience in understanding the dietary requirements of older people. He and his team work hard to provide nutritious food and a varied menu, sourced from local ingredients wherever possible. All meals are freshly prepared and cooked with a choice of courses. |
