Meet The Manager

Danielle Demaj is Manager at Oriel Lodge Care Home.

I have several years of experience working in a care home. My passion is to ensure our residents are happy and receive person-centred care.  I am very proud to have won the Manager of the Year Award 2025 from Care & Support West Awards.

Oriel Lodge is in a lovely Grade 2 listed building on the outskirts of Bath in the thriving community of Larkhall. It provides exceptional care and support for seniors in a warm and welcoming environment, with state-of-the-art facilities, round-the-clock medical care, and a vibrant community.

A specialist Dementia Care consultant was engaged to provide a plan in making the building a user-friendly place for residents with dementia to live. This has ensured the layout is specifically designed for the needs of those with dementia in mind, whilst still keeping the character and integrity of the building in place.

If you are interested in learning more about Oriel Lodge please call or email to arrange a visit. For any potential resident, the manager has to complete a pre-assessment to determine suitability. At any visit you are welcome to meet and talk to our staff, stay to observe an activity and enjoy a meal as part of learning about staying at Oriel Lodge.

Our Building and Facilities

There are two large open communal areas, with large bay windows that allow sunlight to fill the rooms every day. There is also an awning over the front porch, which during the summer months allows people to enjoy being outside during the day. The staff and residents enjoy regular barbeques throughout the summer. Families are invited to join as well.

The front of the property is a large south-west facing patio and garden with garden furniture overlooking the lawns and with views towards Bath. Some residents help manage the garden and flower beds.  We have installed an outside, covered seating area called “The Olive Room” that can be utilised during the winter or summer. The Olive Room was named after one of our long-standing and well-loved residents.
