Minchenden Lodge was originally built by the Earl of Chandos and is featured in the ‘History of Southgate’, a borough of North London. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert stayed there when opening the Colney Hatch Hospital and of later times Minchenden Lodge was converted.
Minchenden Lodge is registered for 25 residents and is about 3 minutes walk from Southgate Circus on the Piccadilly tube line and is ideally situated for local shopping and all amenities.

Minchenden Lodge is working within the government guidelines to help protect its staff and clients. Minchenden Lodge conducts quarterly internal audits around their health and safety, as well as daily walkarounds, with staff trained in how to report any issues they see during their working day - this training including supervision and assessment. Environmental audits are also carried out every six months, and in addition Minchenden Lodge carries out Maintenance audits every three months. Residents have individual risk assessments to ensure their safety relating to factors such as mobility each month or as needed. Posters are also displayed throughout the building advising on such subjects as safeguarding, hygiene, waste disposal, fire safety and dealing with spillages, to support the training provided. |
