Meet The Manager

Trudi Snee is The Home Manager at Milton Lodge Retirement Home.

My name is Trudi Snee and I’m the proud Manager of Milton Lodge Care Home. I’ve worked in care since the age of 16, spurred on with the courage and conviction of wanting to make a difference, having witnessed a poor level of care afforded to my own Grandfather and therefore firmly believing that not all care homes fail to deliver.

I started working at Milton Lodge in 2000 as a Care Assistant and then progressed my way up through the ranks until being appointed Manager in 2006. I’m extremely passionate about the home and pride myself on the service and level of care that my team and I deliver to our residents, all of which we have come to regard as family – this is never just a job to me, it has become my life.

Milton Lodge Retirement Home is located in the heart of Colchester in Essex, and very close to local public transport routes. The Home has been beautifully furnished and our onsite handyman ensures the decor is regularly updated to keep the Home looking fresh. Milton Lodge is a registered care home that provides a high standard of care to its residents, whilst encouraging them to live as independently as possible by receiving care and support consistent with their needs.

Deputy manager

Hello, I’m proud to say that I’m the Deputy Manager here at Milton Lodge, having been appointed in 2017.

I started at Sohal Healthcare 9 years ago as a Senior Carer, before being promoted to Head of Care. My passion for caring for the elderly, stems from having spent most of my childhood looking after my poorly mother. My career begun as a Hairdresser, where I used to enjoy conversing with our elderly clientele and hearing their stories. It was only after having the third of my four children, that I then decided I was destined to work in care, as I live by my manta that 'if it wasn't for the elderly, we literally would not be here, they worked hard all their lives and provided the younger generation with safety and comfort in their early years, we therefore owe it to them to do the same in their later stages of life'

I love my job and am very passionate about delivering a high standard of care.
