Meet The Manager

Noelia Fernandes is The Home Manager at Acorn Court Care Home.

Noelia’s career began in 2000 when she completed her nursing degree and began working in the NHS. Since then she has gained a wealth of experience as a nurse in both public and private hospitals, as well as a clinical director, unit manager, deputy manager, and since 2021, as our home manager.

Believing nursing was something she was born to do, her passion for caring for others shines throughout our home. She loves listening to residents’ life stories and learning from them, whilst supporting all of our team members to provide loving care for everyone who lives with us.

Born in a small Portuguese village, Noelia’s younger years were spent with her younger sister helping their father in his coffee shop whilst their mum worked as a seamstress.

Description

At the heart of the wonderful care we provide at Acorn Court in Redhill is our compassionate team formed of nurses, carers, managers and team leaders and members of our wider support team such as catering, housekeeping, lifestyles and front of house.

Led by our amazing home manager Noelia, all of our team members are carefully chosen for their values and unwavering dedication to caring for our residents with tenderness, kindness and respect.

Our focus on creating a wonderful home in which to live and work means we are able to retain the very best team members, and ensure we value the contribution they make, each and every day.

This in turn helps us to provide consistency for residents and exceptional care, through people who value the same things we do, receive ongoing training, support and recognition and are skilled and confident – understanding each individual resident, who they are and what they need to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

This compassionate approach is also extended to people looking for care for a loved one, as well as our residents’ families, helping and supporting them through what can be a very emotional time.
