Suzanne Owen is General Manager at Iddenshall Hall.
I qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 1989 and have worked for both the NHS and in private sectors. I have specialised in care of the elderly within the private sector since 1996 and have worked for small, family run businesses, as well as for large corporate providers.
I enjoy assisting with the development of my team, in addition to maintaining excellent relationships with residents, relatives, stakeholders, regulators and the multidisciplinary teams.
As a team, we have achieved accreditation at both Beeston View and Iddenshall Hall due to delivering person-centred care to levels that deemed the homes as centres of excellence.
Nestled in the rural village of Clotton in Cheshire, Iddenshall Hall is a 24-hour residential home that provides care for elderly people. Our Memory Lane Community, Beeston View, also offers residential and nursing care for those living with dementia. Whether you need a long-term placement or a short spell of respite, our team at Iddenshall can provide you and your loved one with the appropriate levels of support.
Remaining active is important to us all and this attitude prevails at Iddenshall Hall. Our team of activities coordinators design a regular programme of events to meet the needs, hobbies and interests of individual residents.
The home is a carefully adapted farm house dating back to the 16th century and, whilst oozing charm, elegance and character, has a distinctly homely feel. We are always happy to answer any questions and discuss how we can best help you, so why not give us a call today or pop in for a coffee and a chat?

The Importance Of Meal Times |

Food and Nutrition at Iddenshall Hall Our Head Chef is proud to be part of the team here at Iddenshall Hall. His job is to manage the catering department, ensuring they provide excellent meals and drinks in line with our residents varying requirements and nutritional needs while ensuring the highest standards of food safety. The Head Chef and his team enjoy conjuring up interesting and new menus and ideas to delight residents, families and visitors to the home. They hold regular themed events and enjoy the challenge of delivering lots of interesting food related experiences. For a taste of what we offer, please see the example below. Dietary requirements For residents that have difficulties in swallowing we modify the menu of the day so that is it a soft, palatable dish. To support our chefs in producing these dishes, our hospitality and Chef Academy organises theory and practical workshops. Working in partnership with Nutricia, our practical workshops involve all chefs and deputy managers learning about dysphagia and producing these modified menus. The chefs work with the chef trainer to prepare fork mashable and thick puree meals to the correct consistency, taste and presentation. The deputy managers can then ensure all modified menus served are presented correctly for our residents. Our chefs are recruited on the basis of an interview with the regional hospitality support team and the manager for the home. Selection also involves a practical element where potential cooks are asked to cook for and meet a panel of people living in the home. Chefs take their job extremely seriously and our annual Chef competition sees our chefs battle it out in regional heats and then at a national final for the accolade of 'Barchester's Chef of the Year'. |
