Emma Wilcock is Manager at Haighfield Care Home.
Established in 1990, with views overlooking the picturesque Douglas Valley, Haighfield is a family run care home located in Wigan at the midpoint between the town centre and Standish. The motto of the home is “Care with Dignity”. The staff at the home pride themselves in consistently maintaining this excellent standard. It drives every aspect of our approach to meet the everyday needs of the people that we care for.
Haighfield specialises in Nursing Care but also offers permanent Residential Care services. Nursing and Residential Respite Care is available for people who need a period of recuperation, or to allow whoever is usually providing care to take a break.

The Home itself has been purpose designed, built and equipped to provide safe, secure and comfortable accommodation. We pride ourselves in the quality care we provide and “Care with Dignity” are our watchwords. This drives every aspect of our approach in setting the high standards of service we provide in meeting the everyday needs of the people we care for. The building is wheelchair accessible and has 39 bedrooms, 2 lounges (which have dining areas) and a balcony which overlooks the Douglas Valley. All bathrooms are purpose built and designed to facilitate everybody’s transfer and mobility needs. |
