Meet The Manager
Carolyn Peacock is Manager at Evedale Care Home.
After working as a staff nurse in the NHS, I moved into social care, where I have spent the last 35 years- 17 of those in Home Manager roles across both nursing and residential care.
My ethos is simple: creating a person-centered, home-from-home environment where residents are truly at the heart of everything we do. This commitment is shared by our team at Evedale. We value open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration, working together to provide compassionate care and a welcoming atmosphere for every resident and their families.
It is a pleasure to be Home Manager at Evedale, and my door is always open to residents and their families. I welcome conversations about needs, experiences, and suggestions, and I look forward to continuing to make our beautiful home a place where everyone feels valued and supported

In the warmer months, everyone enjoys getting together outdoors in our landscaped gardens with comfortable patio seating. We also have a cafe on the premises. At Evedale, we run a busy activities programme, so our residents are never without something to do, including days out and visiting entertainers. We have good links with the local church, which often visits us for a service. Another way we can help our residents feel at home at Evedale is by encouraging them to do familiar things. Our dedicated Activities Leaders gently encourage residents to carry on doing things they enjoy. If someone had a hobby or pastime they did before they arrived, we encourage them to continue it with us. Or perhaps they would like to learn something new. The important thing is that we treat every resident as an individual. If they enjoy sharing time with others, either in our home or on an organised trip out, they’re most welcome.
