Meet The Manager

Debbie Hindley is General Manager at Visiting Angels Manchester South (Live-In Care).

In 1999 I changed my career from Children Nursing to help my best friend Gaynor look after her Nana. Ethel needed help with cooking, cleaning, shopping and cleaning the budgie cage.

This was really the start of my journey in Health and Social Care. Ethel sadly had a fall and moved into a Residential Care home. I was lucky and got a job as a Care Assistant in the Home she went too.

I worked in the Residential Care Home/Coppice for over 4 years. Having started out as a Care Assistant, I went on to be Senior Carer and then in a management role.

I have worked in Sheltered Housing Anchor Trust Integrated Care and Housing. This lead me on to working with Age UK Manchester in home care, which was an amazing role.

I have had the opportunity to collaborate with amazing people who have given me the Support and enabled me to develop. I have had the pleasure to meet amazing staff and been part of outstanding teams that have felt like part of my family.
