Meet The Manager

Melanie Sampson is Manager at The Roses.

The Roses is a residential home located in Holsworthy, Devon and is registered to provide care for the over 18’s. We specialise in providing excellent care specifically for those living with dementia.

The Roses is a historically famous building in the local town where the historic owner Stuart Craddock in 1936 played a vital part in the early development of Penicillin. There still remains a blue plaque outside of the home and we are very proud to be a part of the local history.

At The Roses we pride ourselves on how passionate we are about dementia care and are constantly working to improve the lives of residents living with dementia and their families.

We have a dementia champion in our home and our specially trained team is integral to creating meaningful, enjoyable days in the lives of our residents with dementia.

Our ‘SEE ME’ approach to dementia care ensures that every resident is looked upon as a unique individual, with their own past and their own future. We work closely with families and advocates to build a real picture of the person we are looking after and ensure that each part of the history we learn about our residents, helps us build a care and support plan that reflects all of who they are and want to be.
