Meet The Manager

Conor Leahy is Family Liaison Manager at The Meadowcroft.

Here at The Meadowcroft Care Home, we understand that choosing a care home can feel daunting. That’s why we do everything we can to make the move into care easier and more reassuring.

We start with a six-week, no-obligation trial, giving you the chance to settle in and see how life here feels before making any long-term decisions. Our approach to care combines skill and kindness — the right support delivered with a smile, a cup of tea just when you need one, and a light-hearted joke to brighten your day.

As a charity, our focus is firmly on people, not pockets. And with our Home for Life Commitment, you’ll never be asked to leave if your personal funds run out.

The Meadowcroft has strong community connections, with residents enjoying regular outings, social events, and opportunities to stay engaged with local life. We serve families across Wandsworth, Tooting Bec, Streatham, Wimbledon and Clapham.

A warm welcome to The Meadowcroft – a brand-new care home in South London and the number one not for profit care home in Tooting.

Located at the heart of a vibrant new neighbourhood on the historic Springfield University Hospital site, The Meadowcroft provides high quality nursing, dementia, residential and short term respite care. The home is surrounded by new healthcare facilities, homes, shops, cafés and a beautiful 32 acre public park, creating an inviting and connected setting for residents and families.

Our home features well appointed bedrooms with ensuite facilities, as well as a private dining room, cinema, hair salon and a beautifully landscaped garden courtyard. Residents can also enjoy a choice of quiet lounge areas and welcoming dining spaces designed for comfort, relaxation and companionship.

The Meadowcroft brings together the best of both past and present. With residents and team members transferring from the much loved Ronald Gibson House, the home combines an established, close knit community with a bright, contemporary environment designed to support outstanding care from day one.

As part of the award winning charity Greensleeves Care, our focus is firmly on people over profits. With flexible trial stays and our unique Home for Life Commitment, families can make care decisions with confidence, knowing their loved one’s future is secure.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
