St Columba’s Care Home in Dundee is a warm, welcoming place where residents are truly cherished. Our home feels like family—a space where people feel safe, valued, and genuinely at ease. Every day, our dedicated team offers personalised care, meaningful activities, and heartfelt companionship, creating moments that bring comfort, joy, and connection. We offer nursing and residential care that is funded locally and privately.
Laughter fills our rooms, friendships blossom, and every resident is embraced with kindness and dignity. Whether it’s a warm hand to hold, a favourite song shared, or a simple smile that brightens the day, we believe in celebrating the little things that make life beautiful. At St Columba’s, your loved one is surrounded by people who care deeply and wholeheartedly.
St Columba’s Care Home is situated in the West of the city close to both Dundee City Centre and the small town of Lochee. Set in attractive, landscaped gardens, there are bright, colourful areas to enjoy peaceful times with loved ones.
We are registered for care of the elderly, offering both residential and nursing care to those with dementia. We can also provide palliative care.
Qualified nursing and care staff support and care for our residents 24 hours a day. The staff team are committed to developing and progressing their skills through comprehensive, on-going training and reflective practice. This in turn is evidenced in the high standard of care delivered and is an integral part of the home’s philosophy to continually monitor and improve standards of care.

A unique part of St Columba’s is what is known as “Memory Lane”. This is located on the ground floor of the home and is used on a daily basis by residents supported by our experienced care staff and activities team. Memory Lane has been designed to enable residents to access services they may have used prior to coming into the home thereby maintaining some independence. The lane has been developed together with residents, families and staff to reflect aspects of old Dundee and the local community of Lochee. There is a hair salon, a bar- the “Flying Scotsman”, a library, an arts and craft room, an old fashioned tea room and even an authentic sweetie shop. We also have a relatives suite for use where required. |
