Meet The Manager

Anthony Browne is The Home Manager at Parsons Grange.

I have worked as a home manager since 2006 and I’m passionate about delivering exceptional care – it’s at the heart of Care UK’s values and ethos too. Much of what I do is about empowering the team to make the best decisions they can, helping help them to create a positive outcome for each person they care for.

In my spare time I enjoy sports, especially CrossFit. Mountain biking is also a passion of mine, I like to play football and I train for competitive swimming events too. My young family also keep me busy – giving me the excuse to climb trees and roll down hills. They remind me what it’s like to live ‘in the moment’.

Customer Relations Manager

I’ve worked in the healthcare sector since 2015. I started as a Care Assistant and progressed to become a Regional Director. I’m very excited to have joined Care UK as a Customer Relations Manager for Parsons Grange. I joined Care UK because as a company it is passionate about providing the best quality care, and puts residents at the heart of every decision.

I enjoy mornings at Parsons Grange the most. We’re one family here – residents and colleagues – we welcome each other and see how we are. It’s a great way to get the day off to a good start. We have great things planned for Parsons Grange, and I can’t wait to make them happen.

Sukhminder Cheema
Sukhminder Cheema
Nurse Manager and Infection Prevention and Control Champion

I love working in care homes – I was a Senior Nurse in another care home before I joined the Parsons Grange team. I enjoy getting to know residents well and supporting them with their emotional and physical needs. The key attributes that a good Nurse needs are to be caring, compassionate, to have empathy, professionalism and excellent communication/people skills. Flexibility is key as no two days are the same!

I'm also the Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Champion for Parson's Grange. It's my job to establish and maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness so that residents, colleagues and visitors keep safe.

Angela Martins
Angela Martins
Nurse Manager

I’m a Registered General Nurse and joined the Parsons Grange team because I was keen to develop my experience in social care. When you work as a nurse in a care home, you can get to know the people you care for really well and make a genuine difference to their life.

I was also keen to work in a new home as part of a new team with the opportunity to set a high standard of care from day one.

In my role I think it’s important to have compassion and empathy, to treat people with respect, to have excellent attention to detail – and to be able to make decisions quickly.

In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, the cinema and eating out, and having nice holidays!

Head Chef

My wife and I moved from America to the UK so we could be close to her relative with dementia who was living in a care home. When we would visit, I could see how well she was treated and how good the food was. This inspired me to make the change from working in restaurants to working in a care home.

Before joining Parsons Grange, I was a Senior Sous Chef at the Frontline Club in London. I wanted to work for an organisation where I could help people and now, I look forward to coming into work every day. My drive and passion for cooking helps me bring a smile to the people we care for.

Ria Robinson
Ria Robinson
Lifestyle Coordinator

I’m an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse and I’ve worked as an Activities Coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Society, so I’m very aware of how important it is to fulfil the lives of older people, particularly those who are living with dementia.

I wanted to join Care UK and the Parsons Grange team because the organisation is at the forefront of care, and I share its values around putting residents at the heart of everything we do. There’s a great team here at Parsons Grange – everyone is passionate and driven and focused on enhancing residents’ happiness and wellbeing.

I enjoy all aspects of my role, particularly seeing residents having fun and enjoying themselves. Knowing that I’ve helped to make that happen gives me a huge sense of fulfilment.

Business Administrator

I have a Business degree and my background is in the corporate world: I worked in recruitment at Microsoft for ten years and at Mizuno, a sportswear brand.

I was keen to work at Parsons Grange because Care UK’s values are very similar to my own. I’m passionate about great care and treating everyone with respect, dignity and kindness. Everyone at the home is passionate about working together to support residents to live fulfilling lives.

My favourite part of the day is catching up with colleagues and sharing ideas and information so that we can continue to support residents and their families to the best of our ability while driving the home forward.
