The Orchard underwent an extensive refurbishment programme in 2022 which transformed communal areas including dining rooms, lounges/day rooms, reception area, cinema and activity room.

This welcoming home offers a choice of four sitting rooms and two dining areas, all furnished for maximum comfort. In addition, there is a family room and a hairdressing salon offering more opportunity for relaxation. The lovely landscaped garden with patio, which is looked after by some of our Residents, is a popular spot for spending time in the company of friends and family. All our bright and comfortable bedrooms and living areas are easily accessible by wheelchair. |

The carers and Residents at The Orchard enjoy playing an important part in their local community. The home encourages an atmosphere of fun and inclusion and runs a weekly programme of events, which includes talks and demonstrations from local people willing to share their knowledge and talents. Performers from the area regularly visit and entertain Residents with songs, sketches, singing and dancing, and members of neighbourhood groups, volunteers and other locals often drop in for a cup of tea and a chat. |
