In the popular town of Stalybridge in Manchester, Millbrook is a welcoming, purpose-built care home with 46 beds, offering residential care.

Set in its own grounds, Millbrook has secure, landscaped gardens, tended by some of our Residents. Modern folding patio doors open out into a lovely sun lounge. The home offers several places to relax, dine, exercise, socialise and be creative. The hairdressing salon is also very popular with Residents. All our stylish and comfortable bedrooms and living areas are easily accessible by wheelchair. Shops and local amenities are close by.

The home’s caring team has created a family atmosphere, encouraging everyone to eat and celebrate special occasions together. Residents are invited to decorate their rooms with small items of their own furniture and treasured belongings so that it feels just like home. Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

The safety and wellbeing of our Residents is our priority; we've taken significant steps to ensure this.

We've developed a robust operational quality management system that defines the way that we work, which is monitored by a Clinical Governance Group and inspected by our own team in Service Quality Inspectors. All homes have an infection control champion.

Through a range of feedback mechanisms, we constantly monitor the quality of our services by actively encouraging confidential and open compliments, complaints or concerns from Residents, Colleagues, Relatives and Health and Social Care Professionals; this valuable feedback helps us to evolve our services and shape the way that we work.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Sterilisation & Disinfection Devices We are using sterilisation and/or disinfection devices within our care setting.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
