Meet The Manager

Nic Chandler is Manager at Meigle Country House.

I am a Registered Mental Health nurse with almost 30 years of experience. Over my career, I have previously worked in the NHS and in Agency Care, working in many different environments from Dementia Care, Rehabilitation & Recovery and Acute Emergency Admissions.

I have been the manager of Meigle Country House for over 2 years and love my job. I am competent, caring, compassionate and a very positive individual. I have a great supportive team behind me, who on a 24-hour basis provide the highest standards of care for our residents, making Meigle Country House a home from home.

Nic Chandler

Meigle Country House is set in the tranquil Perthshire countryside, surrounded by open farmland and woods, nine miles north-west of Dundee. Meigle village’s shop, arts and crafts café and pub, are a few minutes’ walk away.

The home was completely renovated in 2003 allowing us to blend modern facilities with traditional country style and comfort and the benefits from a range of up-to-date nursing equipment. Its scenic location is of positive benefit to the 23 clients it caters for currently.

It is extremely popular with residents and their families, offering first class accommodation and facilities in common with our other care homes and there is a well used short break and respite care facility available which gives family carers the opportunity for a welcome rest.

safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
