Sarah Holt is Service Manager at Maes Y Wennol Residential Care Home.
I have been the Manager at Maes-y-Wennol for the past fourteen years, I have worked my way up the ladder from Care Worker to Home Manager. I believe this experience has given me an insight and empathy into what it is like to work and manage a Care home.
We have been fully compliant with CIW throughout my time here.
My passion for life and the belief that all human beings deserve the right to be happy and to be treated with kindness is what drives me to be the best version of myself that I can be.
I believe that individual well being comes from being happy, to achieve this we need to have fulfilment, to be included and to be valued.
I always support my team by ensuring that they have the training and the tools to do their job. They know they are valued and their individual development is always on my agenda.
A happy skilled team is the best way to ensure that we have “Happy Service Users”.
Situated in the heart of the spectacular Welsh countryside close to the picturesque town of Llanidloes, Maes-y-wennol is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens, including a furnished patio area and sensory garden with breathtaking views.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
