Suzy Elms is Registered Manager at Llwyndyrys Residential Home.

Suzy brings a wealth of experience in care leadership and a genuine passion for supporting residents to live well everyday, with a calm, compassionate approach, she leads the team by example creating a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff. Suzy is committed to ensuring high standards of care while maintaining a warm, homely atmosphere where everyone feels valued, respected and heard.

Suzy believes in open communication with people who use our service and takes pride in building strong relationships with residents, relatives and the wider community.

Suzy has worked her way up from a carer through to Manager so knows every aspect of the home. She is passionate about providing the best possible care for residents in the home.

Llwyndyrys provides high-quality 24-hour residential care for 26 older people, including individuals living with dementia. Our team of highly skilled and empathetic staff care enormously about our residents and are integral to the friendly and warm atmosphere here at Llwyndyrys. Many of our staff are Welsh speaking.

Llwyndyrys Care Home is set in magnificent surroundings next to the River Teifi, situated on the A484 between the villages of Cenarth and Llechryd, 5 miles from Cardigan. The elegant Manor House, which has been sensitively extended to maintain the stateliness of the home, is set in ten acres of land. The home provides the comfort and ambience that a person would expect to find at home.

Our Building and Facilities

Llwyndyrys is tastefully decorated to the highest standards and yet is extremely comfortable. There are several lounge areas affording residents the choice of socialising with other residents or if they prefer enjoying the peace and quiet of one of the smaller lounges.

Many of the social events that take place in Llwyndyrys are held in the grounds. There are numerous outdoor spaces for residents to enjoy the peace and quiet or enjoy al fresco dining during the summer months.

Description

Bedrooms are fully furnished, but we welcome residents’ own furniture and effects, making their room a home from home. There are many safety features included in the home, which promote independence. For example, bathrooms and wet rooms have adaptations made to ensure safety.

Many rooms are en-suite and some have doors leading out onto a large patio with surrounding gardens. To get the feel of the home it is worth visiting; here you will also have an opportunity to see the residents in their homely environment and discuss any questions you may have with the manager and her team.
