Meet The Manager

Angie Austin is Branch Care Manager at Helping Hands Home Care Brentwood.

Hello, my name is Angie and I am the branch care manager for the Brentwood branch. I am married and we have 3 fur-babies. My family are very important to me and I love spending time with them when I can. In my downtime I love to spend time on our allotment, playing golf, or going for nice walks to get away from it all. I like to keep an active mind and enjoy learning new things and would love to learn more Spanish.

I have worked in the health and social care sector for over 20 years and can't imagine doing anything else.
My career has spanned a lot of sectors but I have always enjoyed the community sector; giving high-quality care to enable people to stay at home is priceless.

I have gained a lot of skills, knowledge, and experience and am lucky to be in a role where I can make a difference.
High-quality training is important in the care sector and I am proud to also be qualified as a moving and handling trainer.

Because, life is better at home.

There are many benefits to opting for home care rather than a care home. But by choosing Helping Hands Brentwood, there is one real, unique difference: bespoke home care from a carer who’s completely dedicated to you or your loved one.

Helping Hands is a fully managed care provider, this means your care is completely regulated by the CQC and CIW, it is managed by a local team, all costs are included, and we will provide a replacement carer if your usual carer is ill or unsuitable. We also provide our carers with fantastic employee benefits, such as holiday pay and a pension package, to ensure that we retain the very best carers to look after you or your loved one.

We’ve been caring for people in their own homes in Brentwood for three decades. Whether you need visiting care a few times a week or round-the-clock live-in care, there are many benefits to opting for a home care service over a care home. Here are just a handful:

  • Stay in the comfort of your home, with nurse-led support if needed
  • Personal, one-to-one attention from your chosen carer
  • Keep your existing lifestyle and daily routines
  • Choose what you eat and when you eat
  • Pets can stay with you at home

If you or a loved one have recently been discharged from hospital or are being discharged imminently, you may need a bit of extra help around the home until you’re back on your feet. A Helping Hands carer can help your recovery through assisting with physio, mobility and medication, as well as providing practical assistance around the home and discreetly aiding with personal care routines.

It might be that you yourself are receiving care and would like a travelling companion to accompany you on your dream holiday whilst providing specialist support. Whatever your reason for needing short-term support, we’ll make sure your respite carer fully understands your requirements and preferences, so that we can help you enjoy the right type and level of care.

Our team in Brentwood can support you and your needs in the comfort of your own home covering Great Warley, Little Burstead, Mountnessing, Hook End, Warron’s Green, Gallows Corner, Hornchurch and the surrounding areas.
