Meet The Manager
Katy Anderson is Home Manager at Hartwood.
I am a qualified nurse and also have a degree in mental health nursing. I have also completed an accredited leadership course with the Royal College of Nursing.
As a home manager, excellent leadership is vital. The key is understanding each resident and each team member, and maintaining open, honest communication with everyone who comes to Hartwood. Working in care takes real commitment, and a leadership position needs a high level of focus and attention to detail, while still being warm and approachable. My door is always open to everyone.
Outside of work, my son and I love going on wildlife walks in the woods. I also enjoy anything that involves animals. I have a large extended family too, so we socialise a lot, which I always look forward to.

Hartwood, Care UK’s newest care home, opens in autumn 2026 and will provide tailored care in luxurious surroundings. The Stafford home offers permanent and respite residential care, as well as specialist dementia care.
Each of the 76 bedrooms are beautifully furnished, individually decorated with its own en-suite wet room. The ground floor rooms open out onto private patios, and many have wall to wall full length patio windows. Ask about the plush queen size ‘Serenity’ beds for exceptional comfort and space.
The home features a cafe, cinema room and a hair and beauty salon, as well as extensive gardens and outdoor spaces. The dedicated team at Hartwood will get to know each resident and compile a care plan designed to their unique needs.
