Meet The Manager
Marilena Pascal is Registered Manager at Glebe House Care Home.
Marilena has been part of Glebe House for over 14 years and is at the heart of the home’s family culture. Originally from Romania, she began her career as a teacher before moving to the UK in 1998 and starting work as a care assistant. Through dedication, further study and hands-on experience in both residential and EMI settings, she progressed into leadership, bringing with her a strong belief in kindness, respect and lifelong learning.
Marilena describes herself not simply as a manager but as a leader. Her approach is centred on trust, openness and individual dignity. She believes every resident should be treated as a whole person and not defined by a diagnosis, and that a care home should feel exactly that, a home. Under her guidance, Glebe House has developed a reputation for being warm, personal and deeply attentive, particularly in supporting people living with dementia and more complex needs.
Glebe House is a warm and welcoming nursing and residential care home located in the leafy surroundings of Staines, Surrey. Since being acquired by Merling in December 2020, the home has continued to provide high-quality, person-centred care within a safe, comfortable and supportive environment.
With 23 comfortable bedrooms, Glebe House offers 24-hour care and support, including short-term respite stays as well as long-term residential and nursing care. Our dedicated team is available day and night to ensure each resident feels safe, supported and truly valued.
Because Glebe House is first and foremost the residents’ home, 24-hour visiting is welcomed. This allows family and friends to spend meaningful time with their loved ones whenever it works best for them. The team works closely with families to create a warm, homely atmosphere where every resident is treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
