Joanne Morton is Home Manager at Egerton Manor Care Centre.
I’ve been with Egerton Manor since it first opened in November 2023, initially joining as Deputy Manager. My journey with New Care began just a few months before that, in August 2023, and it’s been such a rewarding experience so far. I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 2011, but my career in care began much earlier—I spent 15 years working as a care assistant supporting older people. I have a real passion for working with the elderly; I find every day both rewarding and educational. I especially love hearing the stories our residents share. I’m really looking forward to continuing to grow with New Care and hope to spend many years here, both developing in my role and continuing to support the residents, families, and the amazing team at Egerton Manor.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
