Meet The Manager

Kimberley Laird is General Manager at Canmore Lodge Nursing Home.

Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one.

I have been with Canmore Lodge since 2011 where I joined the team as a Carer. I then went on to join the Admin team in 2016 as an Administrative Assistant before being promoted to Administrator in 2017. I progressed to Registered Commercial Manager at the beginning of 2024 which has been a great achievement and General Manager from July 2024.  I am passionate about the home and the team we have here at Canmore Lodge.

I am devoted to making a positive difference to peoples' lives and ensuring that those we support at the home can live as comfortably as possible.

Kimberley Laird

Canmore Lodge is a purpose-built home offering 24-hour care and support to older people, including those living with dementia and physical disabilities. Our unique care options are designed to offer residents a person-centred experience and enhanced levels of care. For example, our dedicated Memory Lane Community provides high quality care for individuals living with dementia in a homely yet secure setting.

As with any Barchester home, our commitment to quality is reflected across all aspects of life within our home. Our skilled chefs are passionate about serving nutritious and delicious meals that cater to all tastes and dietary requirements, whilst our activities coordinators work hard to ensure our extensive social programme is tailored to stimulate residents both mentally and physically. Activities include regular day trips in our own minibus to the local beach, pub and other places of interest, as well as musical entertainment and pet therapy – plus much more!

The home is located in a quiet area on the fringe of Dunfermline, where it is close to local amenities and has good local transport links. We welcome visitors at any time, so please come and experience Canmore Lodge for yourself.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Musical entertainment is a big hit with residents as well, so we book fan favourites to come and play at the home each month. At Canmore, relatives are always encouraged to join in on the fun too.
