Tina Blake is Home Manager at Bridgewater Manor.
I qualified as a general trained nurse in 1984 and have worked in multiple sectors over the years. I have always had a passion for supporting and caring for people and have grown and used my experience to progress to senior roles within the Health and Social Care Sector. I love talking and listening to our residents and learning about their lives and ensuring as a Home Manager they receive the highest quality of care and with respect and dignity. I also enjoy supporting and nurturing all levels of staff to achieve the highest standards and their full potential whilst understanding the importance of work life balance. I enjoy spending time with my ever extending family and love the outdoors walking, hiking and walking the dog.
Later life should be a myriad of joy, dignity, and connection. At Bridgewater Manor Care Home in Worsley, Greater Manchester, we blend expert care with everyday warmth so people feel valued and families feel reassured. We’re close to the Bridgewater Canal, with easy links to Manchester, Salford Quay, and RHS Garden Bridgewater for simple days out. On arrival, the reception feels peaceful and welcoming, often with fresh coffee and cakes to enjoy. Our reception team will always greet you with a smile, and manager Tina is based nearby, regularly visible on the floor to check everyone is comfortable.
Walk a little further in, and the communal areas are lively, with bright lounges, activity boards showcasing recent highlights, and notices of what’s coming up, so families can see the rhythm of life at a glance. We take time to know each person and shape care around their stories, preferences, and choices. As part of the Lovett Care family, we believe later life should be filled with more. More laughter, more comfort, and more moments shared.
Our door is always open, and we would love to welcome you.
