Amherst House is a beautiful purpose-built nursing and residential home set in the heart of Surrey. There is ample visitor parking and exceptional transport links making visiting loved ones easy and convenient.

Each bedroom is designed to the highest of standards and all feature ensuite bathrooms.

The home is organised into four suites, each with its own dining room and lounges. The facilities are exceptional and include a cinema, hair and beauty salon, a bright and spacious café, four terraces on the upper floor, and landscaped sensory gardens including a bee and butterfly sanctuary. There is wi-fi throughout the home, so residents can also keep in touch with family and friends by internet if they wish and help is always provided.

Dedicated carers provide 24-hour nursing, dementia and residential care. This ensures residents are looked after at whatever stage of the journey they are at with like-minded friends and companions and, most importantly, they will not have to move if their care needs change.

It’s incredibly rewarding to help families and potential residents understand the wonderful care and quality of life we provide at Amherst House. Many people who I meet don’t initially see a move into a care home as being an exciting new chapter of life, but it absolutely is! It means new friends, exciting activities and experiences, great support and wonderful food. When families see all of that for themselves the stress just melts away from them. I love that moment.

I enjoy supporting families who are looking for care, but I also look forward to any chance I have to get involved in some of the activities at Amherst House. I don’t mind making a fool of myself if it makes the residents laugh.

Not only is Amherst House a beautiful care home, it’s run by a team who expect the absolute best for the residents. Every colleague here is hugely proud of the job they do and of the home itself.
