Deputy Manger

Hi my name is Chelsea Bryans, I am the Deputy manger here at Alcedo Care Preston.

I Studied Health and Social care at College Level 3 Diploma and have over eight years’ experience within the care sector, starting with domiciliary care in the community. Then came to Alcedo Care in September as a field care supervisor but Alcedo gave me the opportunity to challenge myself and progress onto Deputy Manager, while studying QCF Level 5 NVQ Management for Health and Social Care.

I have one son who is seven. In my spare time we love to go on long walks to the Lake District with our dog Harvey, have ‘Family Friday film nights’ and I love to go to the gym or on a run.

I am excited and ready for my Future with Alcedo Care. I am passionate about delivering outstanding quality person centred care to every customer, to ensure they are treated with respect and dignity at all times.

Sara Herd
Care Assessor

Hi I’m Sara, I’m 34 and I have worked within Health care and Nursing since I was 18. I trained as a nurse at Uclan but decided to work with youth offenders and leaving care youths I was unfortunately made redundant from this role. I then went on to work as a support worker and progressed to manager working with people with learning and physical disabilities. I then transitioned to working as a community carer coordinator before coming to Alcedo in November to be an assessor.

As an Assessor I meet new and old customers to establish and review what their needs are and complete care plans and risk assessments to reflect this. Since coming to Alcedo I have observed a positive proactive and dignified approach of supporting people within their own environment.

In my spare time I spend a lot of time with my Husband , friends and family, Particularly my 5 year old niece Millie. I enjoy traveling, reading and various crafts.
