My name is Afhia Redmond, I am 28 years young. I started working for Alcedo Care in Liverpool in July as a Field Care Supervisor.

As a young carer I had always been passionate about the care and well-being of others. I started out as a carer over 6 years ago. Whilst working as a carer I was still caring for my mum, because of this I had to take a step back from my career as a carer to focus on caring for my mum.

I am now a Care Co-Ordinator for Alcedo Care in Liverpool. My job is to assess the needs of those we provide care for to ensure the highest standards of care are provided by our carers and I am delighted to be working for such an amazing company.

I am actively working towards my Diploma of Higher Education in Business Management with the Open University. I have a beautiful two-year-old girl, a wonderful partner and a cheeky little Pomeranian who are the centre of my universe and always support and motivate me.
