Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Victoria Wilson, Home Manager

Victoria Wilson trained as a Registered Nurse many years ago in Leeds at the famous LGI, and continued specialising in Intensive Care and Coronary Care. She has spent some of her happiest years as a Midwife in the Cotswolds. She returned to Yorkshire and went on to a Nursing role with older people and specialised in End of Life Care within the NHS.

Victoria has been at Connaught Court for eighteen years starting as Deputy Manager and is now a Home Manager enjoying every minute of every challenge.

She consider it a privilege to work for an organisation that put people first and look beyond the difficulties that we all face in social care and to make sure our residents are the heart of our business.

Victoria said, “As I look back at my 43 year career, I consider it a joy to have and continue to look after people from them entering this world to enable them to enjoy whatever time they have at the late stages of their life, in comfort and dignity, not forgetting some fun and laughter along the way.”

Lisa Neary, Business Relationship Manager

As the Business Relationship Manager at Connaught Court for 12 years, Lisa Neary feels really lucky to have a job that allows her to work with such a fantastic team of people including the residents, families and staff.  She feels it is truly a wonderful place to work and live where our values of kind, supportive and trusted are embodied in everything the team does.

Lisa said, “Knowing what an emotionally difficult and confusing experience it is for a family or resident making the decision to move into a care home, I am here to guide you in your journey right from your initial enquiry through to admission into the home and help you or your family member make the transition as smoothly as possible. Having the opportunity to do this, and make a real difference to our residents is a privilege and pleasure and knowing I have helped in some small way gives me great job satisfaction.”
